#217 - Using Social Media to Create Chapter Value
Description:
In this session we will talk about four major social media platforms used by the PMI Toronto Chapter and how to use them effectively for professional development and networking opportunities. We will use examples from our chapter on how we have been deliberate in our use of social media, from standardizing the look and feel of our email communications, to the content and timing of what we post and when. Everything we do is done with the intent to increase brand awareness as we engage our communities, grow our followers, drive event registration and increase overall membership. Leveraging social media has placed our chapter on track to grow our followers across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram by more than 50% for the year.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:• Use social media to build strong connections within their communities, increase event registration and grow membership.• Leverage social media with greater confidence.
